Heaven Girl’s Hostel
Located in the rural landscape of Chaswad, Gujarat, this Girl’s Hostel is designed as part of NGO’s initiative to provide safe and comfortable accommodation for students. The project goes beyond just a living space – it fosters a sense of community, learning, and sustainability.
The design is deeply rooted in cultural sensitivity, incorporating alternative construction technologies to ensure thermal comfort and sustainability. Bamboo screens shade the east and west facades, reducing heat gain while allowing natural ventilation. Locally sourced materials further reduce the carbon footprint and support the regional economy.
The project goes beyond infrastructure; it aims to create a self-sustaining model of community living where students can thrive in a secure, environmentally conscious, and empowering space. By integrating alternative materials and participatory design, the hostel serves as an example for rural educational infrastructure in India.
